About Us

At Legal-Island, we're very aware of our corporate and social responsibility. As a result of this, last June we held a staff meeting to establish what each individual member of staff wanted to do in order to 'give something back' to the local community.

The decision was unanimous - each member of staff would endeavor to complete 2 'volunteering' days each year within the local community. Each of us have now completed at least 1 day, and we thought we'd share the results with you.

Our finance guru tells us that, through volunteering, we donate approximately £3,240 of staff time each year!

Everyone really enjoyed and learnt so much from their day volunteering.

"I enjoyed giving some of my wisdom ‘back to the kids’ – seeing them learn and adapt their thinking to be more productive and creative. They have all matured into their roles, becoming more confident and professional – eventually creating and executing a great product idea and delivering some excellent sales at the trade fair." Ainsley Hirst, Marketing & Sales Manager

"I learned how things which we treat as rubbish can easily change into money which have really bigger value in places like Malawi than here." Arnold Majcher, Careman & Conference Assistant

"How much the people in nursing homes appreciate someone new/different to actually sit down and talk to." Peter Fitzpatrick, Marketing Officer

"That to help with something so small yet practical it is greatly appreciated and such a worthwhile project" Heather Stewart, ROI Conference Manager

"Real feeling of satisfaction collecting for an organisation that mean a lot to me." Vanessa Porter, Senior Administrator
