Biography: |
Alva was appointed FOI Officer for IDA Ireland in 1998. In that role she project managed their implementation plan for its inclusion under the FOI legislation together with writing FOI decisions, internal reviews and submissions to the Information Commissioner. Since 2003 Alva has been FOI Officer for Forfás, and as Enterprise Network Co-ordinator has provided support, advice, research and training to 18 public bodies in relation to the handling and processing of requests, interpretation of the FOI legislation both here and other jurisdictions, and ensuring they are kept up-to-date on FOI case law.
