As a senior manager in National Irish Bank’s Human Resource (HR) team, Mary has extensive experience across a wide range of HR and business functions. Prior to joining the HR team, Mary held a number of managerial positions in the frontline including area manager for Dublin, where she had responsibility for over 20 branches. When National Irish Bank was acquired by Danske Bank Group in 2005. Mary was appointed to the position of Change Facilitation Manager. The role involved preparing and supporting employees through the change process and required close co-operation with Danske Bank’s migration project teams, based in Denmark, Belfast and Dublin. Today, Mary manages Training & Development in National Irish Bank. Her main focus is ensuring that the Bank’s training and development initiatives fully support both the organisation’s business strategy and the development needs of its employees. Mary is also involved at group level in Danske Bank’s Executive Education and Talent Development programmes. In addition to her current role, Mary has been centrally involved in the development and implementation of the Danske Bank Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) in National Irish Bank. This EOS model is recognised as being highly effective in identifying organisational issues and providing direct and meaningful feedback to employees on their performance in key areas. Mary is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. |
