Breda O'Malley qualified as a solicitor in 1996 with Hayes Solicitors, a medium sized city firm which specialises in employment, commercial, competition, media law, commercial property and medico-legal work.

Breda is the rapporteur for Ireland in the European Commission study on Transfer of Undertakings and Insolvency.

Breda worked in McCann FitzGerald solicitors for 12 years, specialising primarily in employment and commercial law. Breda returned to Hayes as a
Partner in 2008 and continues to represent several blue chip multinational companies and public sector organisations on a miscellany of employment
and commercial law issues including Transfer Regulations and related transactions, complex work place disputes and industrial relations matters.

Breda is an accredited Mediator and has mediated several work place and commercial disputes. She is an active member of the Irish Commercial
Mediators Association and the Mediators Institute of Ireland.
