Biography: |
Julia is well known for her very practical and engaging style of training. Her professional experience stretches across a number of sectors including financial services/banking, marketing, lobbying, youth work and public relations. Julia’s formal employment started in a 2-person company and ended in a company with 500+ employees. She believes that this breadth of experience, together with her front-line management experience, enables her to meet the needs of participants at all levels. Julia has an honours degree in psychology and also holds a number of business, training and coaching qualifications. As a training consultant, Julia works for a number of clients in Ireland and abroad. She has been closely associated with the Irish Management Institute for 12 years – both delivering training courses and managing training programmes. Julia also acts as personal development tutor to students on the Henley MBA, running at the IMI. Julia travelled extensively throughout Europe as a faculty member with Management Centre Europe (Brussels), working for a wide variety of clients including Nokia, Cisco Systems and Eurocontrol. She also acted as lead faculty on a number of MCE’s prestigious public courses. Julia’s book ‘Time Matters – making the most of your day’ was published in November 2009. She contributed the chapter ‘Facilitating Meetings and Chairing Discussions’ to the IMI’s core text – the Handbook of Management and occasionally contributes to HR and training publications. |
