A Rise in Workplace Deaths
55 Employees die in 2011
A total of 55 workplace deaths were reported to the Health and Safety Authority during 2011 according to figures released this week. This represents a 15% increase on the 48 workplace deaths reported in 2010. Agriculture remains the occupation with the highest number of deaths, with 22 in 2011. Click here for further information.
