What are the requirements unders safety and health legislation when providing sanitary and washing facilities in a school?
The provision of sanitary and washing facilities is covered under Regulation 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007)
This legislation specifically relates to employers and employees at places of work.
Do these provisons apply to students also?
Students are not deemed to be workers for the purposes of the Act (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005)
