Statutory Maternity Pay €225.80 - €270 per week There is no provision for maternity pay by employers but employees may be entitled to State social welfare benefits (80% of employee's reckonable earnings provided requisite PRSI contributions are made, up to a maximum limit of €270 per week). This is only available for 26 weeks.
Statutory Adoption Pay €225.80 - €270 per week There is no provision for adoptive pay by employers but employees may be entitled to State social welfare benefits (80% of employee's reckonable earnings provided requisite PRSI contributions are made, up to a maximum limit of €270 per week). This is only available for 24 weeks.
Statutory Paternity Pay   There is no entitlement to paternity leave in Ireland. A parent is entitled to 14 weeks unpaid parental leave for each child, subject to 1 years' continuous service and certain other conditions. There is no entitlement to pay from employers or any social welfare payment equivalent to maternity or adoptive benefit for parental leave.
Statutory Sick Pay €88.10 - €326.10 per week In general, an employee has no right to be paid while on sick leave. Employers may decide their own policy on sick pay and sick leave. Employees may apply for the state illness benefit, provided requisite social insurance contributions have been made.
