It is advisable in these circumstances for an employer to issue a memo to employees to advise them that upon a review of working time records, it has come to its attention that several employees are skipping their breaks. Employees should be reminded that they are required to take their breaks in order to rest and for health and safety reasons. The memo should also inform employees that the Company will be conducting regular reviews of working time records and speaking with employees on an individual basis where it discovers employees are foregoing their breaks.
