Please provide some guidelines on retirement legislation

Retirement ages, where imposed, are usually set out in the contract of employment or, in the case of company officers retirement age may be contained in the company constitution. Retirement ages usually correlate to the State Retirement Age (currently 66) or the retirement age specified in any occupational pension scheme.
