On 13 July 2021, the long-awaited Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 (the Act) was signed into law.

The Act will require employers (initially those employing 250 employees or more) to publish pay differences between female and male employees, including any bonuses. The Act provides for regulations to be made through which reporting requirements will be specified. These regulations are expected to be made by the end of the year and therefore, it is envisaged that the reporting process will begin sometime in 2022.
