Brightwater Executive is exclusively partnering with our Client in the selection process for this senior HR role.

Purpose of the role: To develop and implement strategic human resource plans for a progressive fuel sale and distribution business. This role will involve evaluating and developing a HR strategy to support business objectives and people development in co-operation with the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Senior level HR planning, decision making and day to day operational responsibilities to support the strategic direction of the business. 
  • To strategically work with the Executive Management team to agree long term Human Resource plans.
  • Develop and implement strategies based upon the needs of the business, organisational changes, resource and budget management, talent and succession planning
  • Implement policy changes in line with current regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Propose and manage annualised HR budget to develop HR Policies and Plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Responsible for payroll, contracts and recruitment strategies with budgetary and cost awareness.
  • To lead the HR function, ensuring excellence in customer service, and support to the business, through excellent operational delivery and customer service in accordance with statutory requirements and Company standards
  • To lead and develop the HR Reward strategy, ensuring the organisation is provided with an effective compensation and benefits policy in the provision of a range of rewards and benefits commensurate with the size and complexity of the Company
  • Ensure proactive performance review plans are in place.
  • Closely monitor and manage the careers of talented staff across the business.
  • Develop and continuously review plans to attract talented staff.
  • Ensure that the Company is integrated as part of the wider organisation, with clear direction and support for the rationalisation and development of the organisation.
  • Manage within agreed budgets
  • Case manage all discipline, grievance and counselling issues, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to and all actions are fair and compliant
  • Develop and work within internal & external networks to ensure that all HR processes/solutions incorporate latest thinking to maximize results.
  • Support People Development.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • 3rd Level Education with a degree preferably with HR/Legal/Social Science background.
  • Post Graduate qualification in Human Resources or equivalent
  • CIPD qualified and member
  • Experience of managing a Generalist Human Resources function at senior management level
  • Previously influenced senior managers, built strong relationships with staff and management and driven HR strategy.
  • Excellent knowledge of a wide range of HR practices and ROI legal framework and ability to resource plan accordingly.
  • Experience of managing change in a multi-site organisation with external stakeholders
  • Commercially aware, able to contribute on general management and business related issues at Executive level
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse, report and present complex information
  • Ability to network and communicate effectively at all levels within the business and demonstrate excellent influencing skills at a senior level.
