About Ailbhe Dennehy
Ailbhe Dennehy is a senior associate with A&L Goodbody's employment law team. Ailbhe advises both public and private sector, domestic and international clients in relation to a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
She regularly advise employers on the development and implementation of employee policies, as well as guiding employers through difficult/crisis management issues in the context of disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures, performance review/appraisals and incidents of alleged bullying and harassment (including sexual harassment) or discrimination generally.
Ailbhe has extensive experience in drafting contractual documentation and advising in relation to employees' terms and conditions of employment, including fixed-term contracts and atypical workers. She frequently provides strategic and practical advice to clients in respect of individual and collective redundancy situations and the application of the Transfer Regulations in the context of corporate restructurings, outsourcings, mergers and acquisitions.
On the contentious side, Ailbhe has acted for a range of public and private sector clients in respect of unfair dismissals, discrimination, personal injuries and employment-related injunctions and have represented employers before the Rights Commissioner Service, the Equality Tribunal, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Circuit Court and the High Court. She have also participated in a number of alternative dispute resolution scenarios (i.e. mediations) for both private and public sector employees.
Ailbhe regularly contributes to employment law publications and have prepared articles on a variety of changing aspects of employment law including compulsory retirement ages, gender diversity in the boardroom, calculation of holiday pay etc.
