About Caoimhe Heery
Caoimhe is a partner in Flynn O’Driscoll’s Employment Law team. She has over 15 years of employment and litigation legal experience in Ireland and the UK having trained and worked in a trade union law firm in England and Scotland before returning to Dublin in 2007. Prior to joining Flynn O’Driscoll she worked in the Employment Groups in two top 10 law firms.
Caoimhe has extensive experience providing commercial and strategic legal advice on all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious employment law. On the non-contentious side, she provides advices on issues such as redundancy to include collective redundancy processes, severances, grievance and disciplinary matters, absence management, disability, equality and protected leaves, performance management, temporary and contingent workers, protected disclosures and working time. She also assists clients with drafting and reviewing policies, procedures, handbooks and employment contracts as well as provides advices in relation to compliance inspections by the Workplace Relations Commission.
Caoimhe has defended and prosecuted a wide range of actions before the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court and Superior Courts to include employment injunctions, equality claims, unfair dismissals claims and industrial relations claims. She regularly advocates at hearings without the use of counsel.
