About Karl O'Connor
Karl is a Senior Executive & Leadership Coach/Trainer with OCN Coaching Champions Ltd and works in both the public, private and charity sectors. He is the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Irl) lead Trainer in essential line management skills, human resources, coaching and employee engagement. Karl is a UCC part-time lecturer at Adult Continuing Education and is an award-winning coach recognised by Chambers Ireland, CIPD and the Irish Institute of Training & Development. He is a co-author with Cariona Neary of ‘Coaching Champions’ (Oaktree Press) with a successful track record enabling individuals and teams be inspired to deliver extraordinary results for themselves, customers and organisations. Karl has designed and rolled out numerous successful Leadership and Leading Change interventions within organisations. This includes a 10- module programme for an in-house client of the CIPD who upskilled managers to manage their teams more effectively while helping lead them through change and to re-build engagement. He is currently working with Peak Connexxions Ltd providing leadership and coaching support to the Department of An Taoiseach and is also coaching in Adare Manor. Karl has co-written Legal Island Coaching in the Moment blogs since 2019.
At the heart of Karl’s coaching and training is his ability to build relationships and understand what motivates people. He believes that no-one is so good that they cannot get better and helps individuals and teams to realise their untapped potential.
