About Lucy Alley
Lucy Alley is an employment lawyer. She has represented clients across a broad spectrum of industries and size, from start-up enterprises and SME's, to large private companies in the retail, aviation and media sectors. She has also advised a number of state bodies on employment and data protection issues.
In the employment law context from working both in private practice and in-house, Lucy has significant experience in advising on all facets of the employment relationship from managing challenging interpersonal issues to dismissals and redundancies. She holds a large amount of experience in drafting contracts, service agreements, policies and procedures for employers. She frequently advises both employees and employers on contentious matters where the employment relationship has broken down.
Lucy regularly advises clients with equality and employment law cases before the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Labour Court, Equality Tribunal and the courts.
In the litigation context, Lucy has represented clients in the District, Circuit, High and Supreme Court in a large variety of contentious matters including in particular, intellectual property infringements and construction disputes. She also has a large amount of experience of litigating in the Commercial High Court and on discovery issues.
Lucy is a qualified solicitor in Ireland, England and Wales and is an honours graduate of University College Dublin having completed a BBLS Degree in 2005. Lucy has also completed a Diploma in Employment law in the Law Society of Ireland.
