About Ruth Keehan
Ruth is a senior associate in the employment team at Matheson. Ruth advises domestic and international clients in respect of all aspects of the employment relationship from recruitment to termination of employment. Ruth advises in relation to both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. She regularly advises employers on the development and implementation of employee policies as well as guiding employees through difficult management issues in the context of grievance and disciplinary matters, employee investigations (including bullying and harassment investigations), discrimination/equality issues, employment litigation and redundancy dismissals. Ruth also advises international clients establishing in Ireland including advising them on employment permits, contracts of employment, handbook policies and procedures. Ruth has considerable experience in drafting contractual documentation and advising in relation to employees' terms and conditions of employment as well as negotiating compromise agreements and severance packages for senior executives.
Ruth also has extensive experience in advising clients regarding employment issues arising in corporate transactions including restructuring/reorganisation and issues arising in the context of the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations.
Ruth is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association of Ireland and the Irish Women Lawyers Association.
