About Ciara O’Kennedy
Ciara O’Kennedy is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department of LK Shields Solicitors.
Ciara advises on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues with particular experience in resolving complex and sensitive employment disputes involving the removal of senior employee directors/shareholders, to include implementing strategies to minimise financial exposure, negotiating and drafting severance agreements and advising on the corporate governance issues associated with such exits. Ciara also advises clients on claims relating to workplace stress, unfair dismissals and equality.
Ciara has extensive experience in assisting a diverse portfolio of corporate clients in relation to the legal implications of restructurings and the resulting redundancies and in guiding clients through sensitive internal grievance and disciplinary processes to include dealing with complaints of bullying and harassment.
Ciara regularly contributes to various publications on a wide range of topical employment related matters and is a director of the SWICLEC Employment Centre. Ciara is also a member of the Employment Law Association of Ireland.
