About Kate Colleary
Kate is an intellectual property and data protection lawyer. For seventeen years she worked in large international law firms in Dublin, most recently heading up the Intellectual Property and Data Protection groups of an International law firm.
She advises clients on appropriate data protection strategies, data subject notifications, reviewing European data protection procedures and policies, managing data protection compliance projects across multiple jurisdictions, client database sales, and also represents clients in DPC investigations.
Kate has particular expertise in the healthcare and technology sectors. She is regularly asked to speak on data protection issues and to comment in the media. She runs monthly master classes in data protection and is a consultant to the Law Society of Ireland where she lectures in IP, technology and data protection law.
