About Paul Buchanan
Paul is an Associate Solicitor in the Employment Law Team in Eversheds Sutherland. He advises clients in both the public and private sectors on all aspects of the employment relationship from recruitment (including corporate immigration issues) to the termination of employment (including the negotiation of compromise agreements and severance packages).
Paul has extensive experience advising on the management of employees on a day-to-day basis, including the drafting and implementation of contractual documentation and policies, employment equality issues, employee grievances, disciplinary matters and investigations. He also advises clients in relation to issues arising in the context of corporate restructurings/reorganisations, the implementation of individual and collective redundancies and the application of the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations (TUPE).
In contentious matters, Paul has acted for and advised clients on a wide range of matters, including dismissal and work-related stress claims, at a variety of fora including the Rights Commissioner, the Labour Court, the Equality Tribunal, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Workplace Relations Commission, the Circuit Court and the High Court.
Paul is a member of the Employment Law Association of Ireland.
