About Paul Franey
Paul Franey is the Inspector in charge of the Strategic Planning Unit in An Garda Síochána.
Having commenced his career in 2000 he has worked in response, community policing, human resources and management support roles. His current role involves the development and implementation strategy statements and policing plans for An Garda Síochána.
He is a founder of G-Force, the Garda LGBT employee network and former Vice-President of the European LGBT Police Association. He has developed and delivered Hate-Crime training for police officers on behalf of the Council of Europe.
Paul has a Degree in Sociology and Politics, a Masters Degree in Public Management, Professional Certificate in Governance and is a qualified life coach.
