About Pedro Angulo

Pedro Angulo is Head of Learning, Talent and Engagement in Brown Thomas Arnotts. Prior to that he was Head of Leadership Development in AIB where he led the design and implementation of enterprise-wide leadership development initiatives. He is also a Programme Director of the Diploma in Strategic HRM at the IMI (Irish Management Institute), Board Member of Green Sod Ireland and member of the HRD UK advisory Board. For many years, Pedro was President and Chairperson of the EMCC (European Mentoring and Couching Council) in Ireland

Pedro is passionate about creating more human, purpose led and customer-centric workplaces where HR plays a vital role in embedding a culture, values, talent practices, and organisational models, processes and systems to ensure authentic ‘customer delight’.

He leverages his 10+ years’ leadership experience in Fortune 100 & 500 companies (PwC, IBM, Deloitte) and in UK and Irish-based consultancies (Penna, Prospectus, Angulo Consulting), as well as his 7+ years part-time lecturing at the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at UCD.

A graduate from Minnesota State University (USA), Pedro also holds an MBS in Management & Organisational Studies from University College Dublin (1995). He is the author of "Managing People", a book used by the Institute of Bankers in Ireland in its Bachelor of Financial Services Degree, "Distinctions in Coaching between the Island of Ireland and the Rest of Europe", "A Model for Changing Organisational Culture”, "The Leadership Challenge", “If People Are Our Greatest Asset… Why Are Traditional Recruitment & Retention Strategies Not Working?”, “The simply Irresistible Leader”, “12 Ways HR Can Add Value to The Customer Experience”, and “Building High Performance Cultures’.

Pedro is a motivational speaker and regular presenter at HR, coaching, change and business conferences and events. He is also an ICF Certified Coach accredited in a wide range of psychometrics like the BarOn EQ-i and EQ-i 360, Risk Type Compass, DISC, 5 Functions of a Cohesive team, WRAW (Workplace Resilience and Wellbeing), KF Assessment of Leadership Behaviour (KFALP), and the Pearman Personality Integrator
