About Robin Allen QC

Robin Allen QC has appeared in over 145 reported cases in the Industrial Relations Law Reports (more than any other barrister). These include many path-finding appellate cases at the highest level in the UK and Europe and has been instructed in over 40 cases in the House of Lords/Supreme Court undertaking test cases on every protected characteristic.   He has undertaken many public interest amicus and intervention briefs, both in the UK and worldwide, and advised the European Commission on the content of the first two key equality Directives. 

In 2018, with Dee Masters, he set up the AI Law Consultancy to disseminate the developing laws and standards concerning the impact of AI on equality and non-discrimination. Since then, their Consultancy has worked with business and unions, the Council  of Europe, the UN Special Rapporteur on Disability, Equinet the European Network of Equality Bodies, the UK Trades Union Congress, the UK Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation, and the UK Government.  In 2021 they were runners-up for the CogX Global Leadership Award.
